加拿大周五（5日）将叙利亚从支持名单中移除，并撤销伊斯兰主义团体“沙姆解放组织”（HTS）的“恐怖实体”认定。
加拿大外交部发表声明表示，上述决定符合英国和美国等盟友近来的决定，并非草率作出，也符合叙利亚过渡政府为促进当地稳定所付出的努力。
另外，加方仍将维持对56名叙利亚公民的制裁，包括垮台的阿塞德政权前官员、以及阿塞德家族成员。
